As a veteran of the automotive aftermarket for over 30 years, it has been a tremendous blessing for me to become close personal friends with so many other seasoned veterans making this industry their home.
These are people who I have watched support each other in more ways than there is room here to mention through joys and sorrows, both business and personal for decades. It comes as no surprise to me to see these caring, dedicated professionals come together in a time of need during this pandemic to provide relief opportunities for their industry comrades and customers.
One of my current customers took advantage of a free, limited time offer Stacey David of Stacey David’s GearZ offered not long after the Pandemic hit. I recently caught up with Stacey to talk about the impetus behind his offer.
He said, “With the pandemic looming, it was like a tsunami coming with no clear understanding of what the outcome would be. With a little bit of lull in time with the stay at home mandate orders, I found myself in a unique situation to help connect buyers to products that I called ‘The Deal of the Day’. My goal of course, was to get buyers to buy during a period when they had time on their hands and stimulus money to spend. I guess I shot at least 30 of them, and it was gratifying to see our numbers and their sales explode!”
As a marketing firm, my team brainstormed how we could be of assistance during these tough times where the future of cash flow projections were iffy at best. Since we specialize in digital marketing, and knowing that we have helped all of our clients grow their sales with strategically targeted digital marketing ad spends, we decided our contribution could be to offer a free digital marketing audit, inclusive of auditing a company’s website, social media interaction, and digital efforts.
We knew that if we had any takers (and we did), we could assist them in finding errors, broken links, alt tag problems and more, and then provide recommendations based upon the audit results. Like Stacey David, I found it very gratifying to be a difference maker for numerous companies during one of the craziest times this industry has ever faced.
