Nashville, TN (February 3, 2014) – The 2013 Southern Living Idea House, built on the Fontanel property, has recently been transformed into an intimate luxury boutique hotel, open February 7 for visitors to further enjoy the Fontanel experience. Now in its 10th year of business, Fontanel has become a hotel and resort, with an additional 140 luxury rooms targeted for opening in fall of 2015.
The Inn at Fontanel is a five-structure boutique hotel, designed to encourage gatherings by day with distinct privacy and escape by night. The luxurious suites are connected by 2,700 square feet of deck with plush patio furniture and a view of the courtyard of gardens and Porter’s Pond, complete with a fountain and waterfall. All guests share the two-story high Great Room, which contains a dining room, kitchen and living room. The common area features an honor system wet bar as well as a complimentary continental breakfast, served from 6 a.m. until 10 a.m.
A stay at the Inn also includes a wide variety of entertainment and activities from which to choose. In addition to tours of the famous 27,000 square foot log mansion of famed country music star Barbara Mandrell, Fontanel offers outdoor excitement with Adventureworks Ziplines, world-class concerts at the Woods Amphitheater, hiking on the Trails and Metro Conservation Greenway, plus award winning casual dining at Café Fontanella’s Italian Kitchen and Wine Bar. “After six months providing tours of the 2013 Southern Living Idea House, it is with great excitement that we open the doors to our exquisite Inn at Fontanel,” said Kellie Lapelle, Director of Guest Services. “You’ll find award-winning cuisine and live music across the way, and only a 15 minute ride to the happenin’ Honkeytonks downtown where you find everything Nashville.”
