The Randy Martin Memorial Arts Scholarship at UT Southern will provide scholarships to budding young artists attending the former Martin Methodist College that is now a part of the University of Tennessee education system. To finalize the fundraising effort and begin helping students applying for an arts education in 2022, Zan Martin is committed to raising $25,000 for initial startup funds.
Randy had a natural talent for sculpture, painting, drawing and graphics. A graduate of Harris School of Art, Randy Martin freelanced for some of the top graphic designers in Nashville, held numerous positions with influential Nashville-based advertising agencies, and was an art director for CBS Records where he designed album covers for some of the most celebrated country music artists in the industry until he co-founded Martin & Company with Zan in 1993. It was his creative skills that garnered Martin & Company 28 Automotive Aftermarket Global Design Awards.
