The native Tennessean is a third-generation musician with the aspiration to bring old style country music back to life and perform on the Grand ‘Ole Opry stage like his grandfather before him.
Layne began singing and performing when he was five years old and began writing songs as a young teenager. In 2003, he won an international singing competition at the RCA Dome in Indianapolis. He spent many years traveling and performing with various gospel artists, but his true passion was country music. Since this competition, he has written with and captured the attention of numerous country music songwriters and artists, and has acquired a thousands-strong fanbase. In 2020, Layne signed with Empire Artist Management and successfully released several singles, one of which was co-written with hit songwriter and multi-platinum-selling music producer Steve Freeman.
