Farmington Hills, Michigan, May 14 2015 – MAHLE Aftermarket Inc. has partnered with driver/owner, Phillip (PK) Kelley and his tractor, “Red Blooded Binder,” for the 2015 tractor-pulling season. MAHLE will serve as the primary sponsor for Red Blooded Binder: the brand-new, custom-built Super Farm tractor that Kelley plans on running in multiple Super Farm tractor competitions throughout the year.
Kelley makes the move up to Super Farm after successful seasons in several other tiers of pulling. Red Blooded Binder was fabricated and assembled in New Vienna, Iowa by Schulte Express Performance and Fabrication, a full service facility, with components and parts supplied by MAHLE.
“MAHLE maintains a long legacy of partnering with top teams in every level of racing,” said Ted Hughes, Manager – Marketing for MAHLE Aftermarket Inc. Hughes added, “While we may be most associated with our involvement in traditional motorsports like NASCAR and NHRA – the opportunity to get more involved with an American Heartland sport like tractor pulling is something we really look forward to.”
“Born” in Iowa and “raised” in Pennsylvania, Red Blooded Binder will see a lot of zip codes in 2015, as Kelley plans on running it in NTPA Regions 4 and 5, in addition to Western Pennsylvania. Multi-state appearances will give fans several chances to see Red Blooded Binder in person. Those fans will also be able to follow its full schedule, adventures, and results via social media; as Red Blooded and Kelley will be active on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, with the potential for further reach on newly developing platforms.
“I have a nervous excitement that has been brewing since I shared the idea with my sponsor and friends, I look forward to representing MAHLE and participating in something I’ve dreamed of doing,” says Kelley.
