Whites Creek, TN – (November 13th, 2012) With the conclusion of Fall and the transition into Winter, The Fontanel Mansion and Property has concluded their festive pumpkin patch situation just outside of Cafe Fontanella and The Farm House art gallery. Fontanel was very proud to host the holiday pumpkin patch as the sale of each and every benefited Monroe Harding children’s home, a non-profit organization providing needing children with much more than just the basic essentials, but a positive atmosphere of learning, mentoring and safety.
According to the Monroe Harding website, “For over 100 years, Monroe Harding has had a singular mission: changing young people’s lives by providing food, clothing and shelter. But young people, especially those in state custody or foster care, need more than that. So Monroe Harding serves every need. We provide foster homes, group living, mentoring, relationship-building skills, safety and structure, encouragement, spiritual formation, life skills training, education, job placement, and more. This gives every young person the opportunity to live a whole, happy and independent life.”
Now, in another gesture of charity and holiday-appropriate thanksgiving, Fontanel will be donating the remaining pumpkins to The Elephant Sanctuary in nearby Howenwald, TN. The Elephant Sanctuary in Tennessee was founded in 1995, and continues as the nation’s largest natural habitat refuge developed specifically for endangered African and Asian elephants. The expansive Sanctuary resides on 2,700 acres in Hohenwald, Tennessee – 85 miles southwest of Nashville.
