Whites Creek, TN (August 14) – In conjunction with national non-profit Horses4Heroes, A Cowboy Town is hosting Heroes’ Appreciation Day September 9, 2012 from 200-5:00 PM as a tribute to the survivors and fallen of 9/11.
Owner Denise Reynolds, herself a member of the National Guard and home from a recent deployment, knows a thing or two about sacrifice and service! “This is a great opportunity for our heroes that are 1st responders to emergencies i.e. firemen, policemen, emergency medical personnel, the military & their families to come out and enjoy not only a day with horses, but a fun-filled day of horseback riding, lead-arounds for the less experienced riders, panning for gold, canoeing, fishing (BYOP), live music, stick horse races, corn hole, horse painting, hay rides, steer roping, face painting, balloon characters, and surprise visits from super heroes!
“Having been in the military I know the challenges faced by all of those who are called to duty. It is with great enthusiasm & pride that we host this event along with Horses4Heroes to pay tribute to these brave men & women and their families who have sacrificed so much for the good of their communities and their country.” she states. The event is free and open to anyone with 1st responder & Military ID, as well as their families who themselves are no strangers to sacrifice. For more information, or to make reservations call 615-242-6201 and ask for Ms Kitti.
