Called the Encore 1000, the Show unit unveiled to the truck accessory industry for the first time in LEER Booth (#31095) at SEMA Show 2010 is for the current Ford Super Duty Long Bed. It hints at a new line of products that LEER will implement in the next few months beginning with Long Bed applications for Ford, Chevy, GMC and Ram pickup trucks.
With 47% more usable space than a traditional cab-high cap, the LEER Encore 1000 is a breakthrough in design, engineering and functionality. Standard features include automotive grade hinges and paddle latch, efficient aerodynamic design, and a unique twin-hull fiberglass rear door that provides an unrestricted *54” high opening – That’s plenty of clearance for bulky cargo and more than enough for most ATVs, dirt bikes, snowmobiles, and other off-road vehicles. Taking a new global approach to design, LEER has created a platform that enables the installation of numerous customizing options, among them; revolutionary frameless one-piece side-access windows that open awning-style with a remote control, LED interior lighting, industrial grade roof racks, and integrated back-up camera. In addition, LEER will offer solid fiberglass side access doors and rugged all-metal side tool boxes for contractors and other truck owners who use their pickups as on-site workshops. Public release of the new LEER Encore 1000 is slated for late 2010, and will be covered by a Limited Lifetime Warranty.
