Stacey David and Revell are proud to announce the release of the RAT ROASTER model for 2013. The stunning 1932 Ford roadster that Stacey built on the TV show Stacey David’s GEARZ® is now available in 1:25th scale for everybody to build. The two things that make the RAT ROASTER car, and subsequently the model, so unique is that Stacey built the car in a late 60’s style and utilized a lot of aftermarket parts to do it. These add up to make a one-of-a-kind car in real life and a very desirable kit for the model builder. “It was very important to capture the vibe of the late 60’s with this car,” says David, “bobbed fenders, blown motor, big tires, bright paint; they are all part of that era.”
Rick Haas from Revell agrees and adds, “This car is so loaded with cool parts, that model builders have been clamoring to get the kits just to get the parts for other models they are building” The Coker tires, ET wheels, Sanderson headers, LeCarra steering wheel, Speedway seats, Weiand blower, Holley carbs, K&N velocity stacks, Cherry bomb mufflers, Moon tank, SoCal gauges, are all faithfully reproduced in 1:25th scale.
“It was also important to capture Stacey’s unique design features on the car”, continues Haas, “so we also faithfully reproduced the bobbed fenders, the ’56 Buick portholes in the hood top, and the microphone shifter.”
But probably the most unique feature of the new model kit is the inclusion of a 1:25th replica of the one-off Gibson 335 guitar that Stacey designed and built with the Gibson custom shop to match the car. “We are always trying to add neat little extras to our kits to make them really unique” said Haas. “The guitar is just something we HAD to do!”
The RAT ROASTER kit is available at any hobby shops where Revell models are sold, or you can get them directly from Revell’s website, or Stacey David’s website, but you better act quickly, because just like the real car, the kits are goin’ fast!………….
Stacey David is also available to appear to speak and to sign autographs at your corporate event or trade show. For more booking information, please contact Brian Zembrycki at firstname.lastname@example.org
